LET’S BE HONEST HERE:

Fact: There are things we know, and things we don’t know.

Fact: Some of what we ‘know’ evolves and expands, so that what we thought we knew isn’t quite as ‘right’ as it was in the past and may even be wrong now or in the future.

Fact: We don’t all ‘know’ the same things.

Conclusion: Knowledge isn’t as definite as some would have you believe.

Which Leads To: A whole lot of different beliefs about what is ‘known’ and what isn’t ‘known.’

AND THAT IS WHAT I WRITE ABOUT.

Who are my readers?

Disorganised, never on time, distracted by a dress in a shop window, my reader laughs at a cloud, swears at a red light, studies a small flower, weeps at the death of a child.  My reader is strong, silent, a policeman, a fireman, a carpenter, a postman.  My reader is outspoken, defiant, a tradesman, a teacher, an ascending politician, a farmer, a student.  My reader works in a factory, serves behind a counter, waits on tables, prepares a hundred meals a day, reads poetry, sings in a choir. My reader is every one of you who wants to know the unknown, to dream the undreamt, to feel the passions, the torments and the joys, of characters they can care about and whose stories intrigue them.

AND THOSE ARE THE READERS FOR WHOM I WRITE.
